Traffix Connectivity Solution

Traffix enables telecom operators to migrate to a Diameter control plane while controlling cost and minimizing time to new service launch.

NGN Diameter Based Network

One of the challenges facing telecom operators introducing new Diameter control plane based NGN, IMS or LTE elements into their core network is to ensure that the new element is well integrated and well interfaced with other network elements. Modern networks are increasingly becoming a hybrid of network elements from different generations and vendors, some of them new and some of them long deployed. On the control plane this means that telecom operators are faced with the task of integrating new Diameter network elements that need to interface to elements that are not Diameter enabled but are using a variety of protocols such as RADIUS, LDAP, HTTP, CAMEL, CORBA, SOAP and others.

The Road to NGN

As telecom networks mature into the 21st century we see the road to the NGN, IMS or LTE, to be a long and winding, with a slow migration to new services and architecture. The immediate implication of this is that for quite some time we will be dealing with telecommunication networks that have various generations of network elements coexisting under the same roof. This is a challenge from both a control plane connectivity perspective as well as from a manageability perspective.

Simple Cost Effective Control Plane Integration

The process of integrating a new network element into an existing network is a challenge. Telecom operators and vendors are experiencing cost issues as well as time to market issues.

The integration of new network elements and enabling new services, however, can be made simple and cost effective by connecting the network elements to the Traffix Diameter Gateway. No other control plane integration efforts are required. The Diameter gateway presents an instant, easy, scalable and cost effective way to deal with Diameter control plane addressing any connectivity issues between Diameter and other control plane or AAA protocols.

The Traffix Diameter Gateway enables direct and easy connection of control plane signaling between different technologies, such as Diameter, RADIUS, LDAP and HTTP using an advanced transformation and data flow management engine.
