Traffix Diameter Gateway - Technology

The Traffix Diameter Gateway is an important part of the Diameter control plane architecture. This technology is essential in supporting the introduction of Diameter based network elements into the telecom network.

Upon receipt of an incoming transaction, usually some kind of a AAA request, the Traffix Diameter Gateway analyzes the received data, transforms it to the destination protocol form and forwards the request outward to the final destination. Upon receipt of an answer, the Traffix Diameter Gateway transforms it back to the originating protocol form and sends it outward to the request originator. The entire transformation and mapping process is executed with high accuracy and minimal processing delay maintaining negligible latency even at significant loads.

Traffix Diameter Gateway is offered in several load configurations across several standard Telco-grade platforms. The platform can handle up to 20,000 Transactions per Second (TPS). Larger capacity options are also enabled by utilizing scalable hardware configuration.

Diameter Protocol Interfaces Supported

Traffix Diameter Gateway supports all Diameter Protocol interfaces as defined by the various standard bodies. Traffix Diameter Gateway supports of both the mandatory and optional parts of the Diameter protocol. It offers a full Diameter functionality and supports the entire set of Diameter protocol interfaces such as the Rf, Ro, CC, Sh, Cx, Gy, Gz, Rx, Zh and Gx Diameter protocol interfaces.
