IMS diameter
The IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) is an architectural framework for delivering multimedia services over an Internet Protocol (IP) based telecommunication network. IMS was originally designed by the 3GPP standards organization, as a part of the vision for evolving mobile networks beyond GSM.
One of the goals of IMS is to create a horizontal control layer that isolates the access network from the service layer. From a logical architecture perspective, services need not have their own control functions, as the control layer is a common to all services. The main core network control protocol in IMS is Diameter.
Traffix's set of IMS Diameter products enables operators to address their Next Generation Networks (NGN) Control Plane and Diameter IMS needs and requirements.
Traffix's IMS Diameter solutions, based on Traffix Diameter Protocol Stack are the building blocks of efficient and cost-effective Diameter control plane as part of the Next Generation networks.
Traffix's portfolio of IMS Diameter solutions includes the following:
OpenBlox Diameter Stack - Provides IMS Diameter support for the entire set of Diameter IMS interfaces such as the Rf, Ro, Gy, Gz, Sh, Cx and Gx Diameter interfaces, based on 3GPP Release 6,7,8 and 9 specifications.
Traffix Diameter Gateway (IMS Gateway) - The Traffix Diameter Gateway enables operators to bridge between their existing Legacy network based on protocols such as LDAP or RADIUS and their new IMS Diameter based network elements.
Traffix Diameter Load Balancer - Traffix Diameter Load Balancer provides operators with extended scalability and with enhanced management and security features to improve their IMS Diameter based networks. |
