    Traffix Diameter Load balancer

Traffix Diameter Load Balancer (Prism) is the perfect solution for managing and scaling the Diameter control plane in Next Generation Networking (NGN) and IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) networks.

Load Balancing on the Diameter control plane can spread work between network links, servers and other resources in order to optimize resource utilization and improve response time and throughput. Using a Traffix Diameter Load Balancer for managing traffic through several components will also increase most networks' reliability due to the redundancy it provides, rather than using a single component.

Load balancing is often used for failover recovery. The participating components are monitored continuously and when one becomes non-responsive, the load balancer is informed and avoids directing traffic to it. Traffic can be re-directed to that component when it becomes operative again.

The Traffix Diameter Load Balancer offers advanced Diameter load balancing mechanisms with Diameter message and Attribute Value Pair (AVP) awareness, offering a faster and more efficient load balancing using the Diameter networking protocol.

The Traffix Diameter Load Balancer also offers extended disaster recovery and security with end-to-end Diameter encryption and validation and security features such as the Diameter Cryptographic Message Syntax (CMS) application.

The Traffix Diameter Load Balancer comes equipped with more than 10 Diameter interfaces, such as the Rf, Ro, CC, Sh, Cx and Gx.

The Traffix Diameter Load Balancer is the perfect solution to scale, manage and secure any NGN and IMS network.

The major benefits of the Traffix Diameter Load Balancer to telecom service providers include the following:

    • Distribution of Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA) traffic across multiple servers
    • Simplified management through realm-based routing
    • Integrated protection from network intrusions
    • Comprehensive failover capabilities in case of server failure
