The Traffix Global Signaling Delivery Controller (G-SDC) is constantly aware of interconnecting node availability, and is able to shift signaling flows to servers based on their availability and capacity. Simultaneously, it maintains network-wide, distributed state information enabling all the signaling routing components to work in harmony. Its built-in throttling capabilities actively monitor and manage traffic from each node, limiting throughput to servers based on their rated capacity. In situations of overload, the G-SDC detects which packets should be dropped to prevent servers from overwhelming the network, avoiding outages.

 

When carriers deploy the Traffix G-SDC, the message origin or subscriber location is irrelevant – it will always be routed to the correct server or service.
